This is my favorite hat. It is from Mali and is worn by cattle-herders and city folk alike. Hats are a big deal in Africa. Sometimes they denote status or rank. Sometimes they express humility before God. Sometimes they are worn just for beauty and fun. I rarely put pictures of myself on these pages but here goes...As Pi Patel would say, "THIS IS GOD'S HAT!"
