We are all Richard Parker
We are all the tiger in the lifeboat. Also we are Pi Patel. Somehow we find ourselves adrift in this endless void surrounded by danger and possibility. As for me...I find it exhilarating. Exciting but terrifying. I want to see God's face. I want to see the Holy plan unfold. I dream of communion. True communion. The communion of the salmon with the elements. Its life and force gaining and giving back so blatantly. In the salmon's exchange I catch a glimpse of God's face. Maybe an eyelash or earlobe. We waste so much of our brief time here destroying. I guess it's simply our curse. Our real Satan. Our real Devil. We pollute our bodies, our minds our air, our water, our soil...for what? It all comes back to us eventually. But what the answer? Which way to go? I just don't know. I'm a flawed tiger in a lifeboat drifting on sky water. Aimlessly gliding through stars and going through the motions of life. There's that itch though. That longing. I'll stand by that I suppose. The simple fact of a continued search or openness to what may be. That is my religion.
